Cúinne an Ghiorria is a programme for schools designed at nurturing a sense of stewardship and deeper connection with the environment through exploring the role local wildflowers and biodiversity play in our eco-systems and traditions.
A small grassy corner of the school grounds is left uncut, and allowed to develop into a mini meadow habitat. Inspired by their finding, the children then create artwork using natural materials, from clay to textiles, wood and plant matter found in their surroundings.
